A week in parties : CFDA and Whitney Art Party

Wow this last week was full of some very important parties. The two most important ones were CFDA 2009 Awards and Whitney Art Party and Auction both placed in New York City. In attendance there were some amazing fashion icons from the entertainment world. Some dresses were really memorable. I've chosen only those which impressed me most.

CFDA 2009 Awards were held on June 15th at Alice Tully Hall in New York City. Celebrities attending the big gala were wearing mostly clothes designed by the nominees (and eventually winners). Some of the awards went to Womenswear Designer of the Year Rodarte’s Laura and Kate Mulleavy. Menswear Designer of the Year (tie) Calvin Klein’s Italo Zucchelli, Band of Outsiders’ Scott Sternberg. Accessory Designer of the Year Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.

Romeo and Juliette actress Claire Danes wore a magnificent Narciso Rodriguez' dress.



Wimbledon actress Kirsten Dunst wearing Rodarte (by Womenswear Designers of the Year Laura and Kate Mulleavy)



Serena from Gossip Girl - Blake Lively - looked smashing in pink Michael Kors dress



Last but not least my favorite Troy star Diane Kruger rocking Jason Wu design. Who doesn't think Ms. Kruger is already a fashion icon?



2009 Whitney Contemporaries Art Party And Auction was held on June 17th in celebration of 20th birthday of BCBG Max Azria and so most of the celebrities were wearing Azria's designs. Push star Camilla Belle looked amazing in green Max Azria.



Alexis Bledel, a former Gilmore Girl was a breathtaking host of the event in Hervé Léger by Max Azria dress.



Brooklyn Decker, a Sport Illustrated swimsuit model was presenting my favorite look of the night wearing a pink BCBG Max Azria dress and grey high sandals. Perfecto!



Other amazing look was Canadian model Lisa Cant in BCBG Max Azria, who is definitely not afraid of color and I love it!



I just couldn't not post this picture of the best looking man of the evening, He's just not that into you star Bradley Cooper, who looked very handsome in Calvin Klein Collection.
