It was the news of the day, the news of the
month or maybe even the news of the year so far! Balmain is the next fashion
house which will collaborate with H&M on a limited collection. I can hear those ‘Yeahs’ and happy
sounds made by fans all around the world, myself included. Who wouldn’t want to
own a Balmain dress or a jacket at much more affordable price? I am sure you
all would and if so remember to mark your calendars on November 5 2015 – get yourself
ready – it will be a battle field I am sure.

– this new hashtag created by Olivier Rousteing – Balmain’s Creative Director -
is already one of those trending on Twitter. Rousteing has a truly amazing
talent for social media and he’s using it daily turning to gold whatever he touches.
Now it’s time for H&M collaboration.
Balmain’s
designer shared the news about the collaboration with the world during Sunday
night’s 2015 Billboard Music Awards where he was accompanied by two of his army’s
soldiers – Jourdan Dunn and Kendall Jenner. (Who else is dying over Kendall’s
jacket?! Me – want!) It was a chance for us go get a sneak peek of what’s to
come and boy oh boy – there are some pieces worth waiting for.
H&M has
been collaborating with fashion
designers for over 10 years now. Do you remember the first one with Karl
Lagerfeld back in 2004? Later on came Stella McCartney, Versace, Marni, Isabel
Marant and most recently Alexander Wang. Balmain’s charisma, edge and youthful approach
to life thanks to Rousteing seems like a logical next choice.
I cannot wait
until November and I am truly hopeful to be able to get my hands on some
pieces. Did I mention this jacket yet? J
